Every pre-Christmas tradition was served at the Advent market. St. Nicholas and his horse-drawn sleigh, a &#8220;Perchtenlauf&#8221; with fireworks at the end, various culinary booths, a Christmas tree booth, &#8220;beer spikes&#8221; and even an almost kitschy market<\/h2>\n<p>The highlight for all families with children was definitely St. Nicholas. He visited the Advent Market on a horse-drawn sleigh. He brought along a sack filled to the brim with nuts, mandarins and chocolate for all the children.<\/p>\n<p>Culinary wishes were fulfilled with Bosna, Raclette bread and Pofesen, as well as mulled wine, mulled cider and punch. Beer spiking involves dipping a hot iron into a cool beer (6 &#8211; 7\u00b0C). The heat causes the sugar to caramelise and the foam to rise. This not only changes the temperature somewhat, but also creates a special taste experience. A huge thank you goes to the Sports Club Eggerding, who took care of the smooth running of the entire catering!<\/p>\n<p>The Christmas tree stand was very busy. There, every employee could choose his or her own Christmas tree and take it home right away. A Christmas present of a special kind, as many employees found.<\/p>\n<p>When the &#8220;Obernberger Auwoidteifen&#8221; finally appeared at the Advent Market at 7 p.m., even the most hardened visitors got goose bumps. The eerily beautiful Perchten masks, all hand-carved, also made children&#8217;s eyes sparkle. Very brave children even dared to get very close to the Perchten for a photo.
