World\u2019s largest RTM press system to revolutionize aerospace manufacturing<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n

Langzauner, a pioneer in advanced hydraulic press systems, has achieved a breakthrough in aerospace manufacturing technology through its collaboration with the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC).<\/p>\n

AMRC\u2019s Composites at Speed and Scale (COMPASS) is a major boost to aerospace research and development in the UK with a new, open access innovation facility which will initially house industry leader Boeing\u2019s research project to de-risk and develop high-rate sustainable structures.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>

At the heart of this innovation is Langzauner’s newly developed Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM) press system, the largest of its kind globally for integral aerostructural parts. Using this state-of-the-art press system, the project aims to reduce large component process times by a factor of ten \u2013 from approximately 40 hours to just four hours \u2013 while maintaining exceptional quality standards.<\/p>\n

“This technology represents a quantum leap in aerospace manufacturing capabilities,”<\/em> said Alexander Wiesner, Head of Global Sales & Marketing of Langzauner. “We’re not just building equipment; we’re revolutionizing how the next generation of aircraft will be produced.”<\/em><\/p>\n

The press system features an impressive 10,500mm x 3,500mm platen size and delivers unprecedented precision with fully adjustable pressing force up to 2,400 tons.<\/p>\n
